October 14, 1948 ~ June 7, 2020 (age 71)
Passed away at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland Ontario. Due to current hospital restrictions only one person was allowed to be with Linda who passed peacefully holding the hand of her daughter while she read her scriptures and played her favourite songs.
Linda was the oldest daughter of the late Ronald and Edna Boggie, and granddaughter of the late Gordon and Alice Wice. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Arnold Smith (dec. August 18, 2013). Robert and Linda were married on June 16, 1967 and raised their two children Melanie Muriel Smith (Matthew Zegil) and Jarrod Ronald Smith. She was a grandmother to Jerri-Lynne, Jordynne-Lea, Jessi-Lorynne and Faith Smith, and great-grandmother to Charleigh and Blayer Smith-Curtis. Linda is predeceased her sister Debborah Bumstead and survived by her siblings Christina Seabrook and Ronald Boggie (Roxanne). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the March of Dimes for providing many years of home care service.
Linda was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 50 years. A memorial service hosted by Zoom and the Midland Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses to be announced (please check this website for updates). This service will allow friends and family from Toronto, Owen Sound, Kirkland Lake, Scotland, and the United States to share in her loving memory.
