A Midland driver has been charged after a parked vehicle was struck Thursday morning on William Street in Victoria Harbour.

Two collisions early Thursday morning led Southern Georgian Bay OPP to charge two drivers.

Shortly after at 5:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a parked vehicle that was struck by another vehicle on William Street in Victoria Harbour.

Shawn Kristen Fisher, 55, of Midland, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs). The accused was released from custody with an Oct. 3 court date and was handed a 90-day driver’s licence suspension.

At about 6:30 a.m., police received an automated crash notification from a Ford Edge on Highway 400 South, near Joe King’s Road in Georgian Bay Township.

The lone occupant, a 36-year-old Elliot Lake man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later charged with careless driving.
