The West Parry Sound OPP is investigating a single-vehicle accident Thursday that has left one person dead. Another person has been taken to a Parry Sound area hospital with serious injuries.
At approximately 7 a.m. this morning police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 400 near Parry Sound.
The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team and as a result Highway 400 southbound lanes are currently closed between Parry Sound Drive and Bowes Street.
There is currently no timeline for when the southbound lanes will be reopened.
