A Tiny Township woman is facing charges after the Jeep she was driving crashed into a tree over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to Tiny Beaches Road North just before 10 p.m. Saturday.
The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police officers at the scene say they seized open liquor, and after speaking with the driver, 51-year-old Michelle Karrie Gracie of Tiny Township was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
In addition, the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the Jeep was impounded for a week.
Anyone who spots a driver they suspect is impaired is asked to call 911.
