Southern Georgian Bay OPP marine officers had a relatively uneventful 18 hours of patrol recently.

Officers checked about 17 vessels between Sept. 27 and 29, when the marine unit responded to four calls for service.

“Officers educated three operators on minor infractions of the Canada Shipping Act,” police said in a news release.

Despite some continued summer-like conditions, “those warm temps will soon go by the wayside, so let’s always remember to put that life-jacket on before heading out for an enjoyable day on the bay.”
