Two people have been charged following a report of a break-and-enter in Midland.
Shortly before 11 a.m., police responded to a possible break-in at apartments above a King Street retail store.
When officers entered the “unsecured apartment,” they found “two lethargic and passed-out individuals,” Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
Clayton Arch, 42, was charged with break, enter a place (commit an indictable offence), possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle.
Kayla Sandy, 28, was charged with break, enter a place (commit an indictable offence) and possession of a Schedule 1 substance (fentanyl).
Both were released from custody and are set to appear in court Jan. 23.
