Canadian Tire Midland, led by Michael and Marie Ferris, is pleased to announce a renewed commitment to supporting Hospice Huronia-Tomkins House, a facility that offers compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families across North Simcoe. Over the next five years, Canadian Tire Midland will donate $10,000 annually to the hospice, continuing its strong support of this vital community resource.
During a recent visit to Tomkins House, Michael Ferris expressed his admiration for the exceptional care provided by the staff and volunteers. "It was truly an honour to visit Tomkins House, a facility that was once a dream for so many in our community. To witness firsthand the care, comfort, and compassion extended to patients and their families was an inspiring and moving experience," said Ferris. "The dedication of the entire team, from nurses to volunteers, ensures that patients spend their final days in a peaceful, supportive environment—free from worry and surrounded by dignity."
The Ferris family and Canadian Tire Midland have been long-standing supporters of Hospice Huronia. "We are proud to continue contributing to this remarkable organization, which provides much-needed care to our community. On behalf of Marie, myself, and the entire team at Canadian Tire Midland, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved with Tomkins House. Your hard work and dedication make this facility a beacon of hope and compassion for families in their most challenging moments," Ferris added.
In addition to expressing ongoing support, Ferris also congratulated Hospice Huronia on their recent recognition by the Chamber of Commerce for being named one of the "Great Places to Work."
