Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is pleased to officially announce the appointment of Jennifer Moore as the new chief communications officer and vice-president, communications and engagement, effective Oct. 15, 2024.
Moore joins RVH from Georgian Bay General Hospital (Midland) where she is currently the director, communications and community relations, and has played a key role in leading transformational change while enhancing relationships with the community.
She brings with her more than 22 years of experience in strategic communications, government relations, community partnerships and strategy development – 15 of which are in complex hospital settings, including RVH (2009 to 2017).
Throughout her career, Moore has gained extensive experience in strategic communications, government relations, community partnerships and strategy development, while being dedicated to supportive leadership, continuous learning and professional development.
“Jennifer has an extensive understanding of the health system, public policy and the healthcare needs of Simcoe-Muskoka,” says Gail Hunt, RVH president and CEO. “She has a record of guiding transformational change, building community partnerships and supporting the communication needs of a growing community.
"While being a leader who is focused on developing and implementing strategies to enhance the patient experience, Jennifer is also committed to strong internal communications to keep teams engaged and informed.”
In this new position, Moore will lead strategic communications for the regional health centre, overseeing all internal and external communications. This includes continuing to elevate RVH’s brand in partnership with the hospital foundation, while deepening engagement with partners and the community RVH serves.
With the launch of RVH’s new strategic plan ‘Vitally You’, Moore’s expertise in communications will be invaluable to RVH’s continued success of achieving its purpose — making life better, with the care you need, close to home.

Moore holds a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Western Ontario. She is also a graduate of Humber College’s post-graduate program in public relations.
