A visit to the Tiny beaches area.

It wasn’t an easygoing long weekend for Tiny bylaw’s department.

From Friday to Monday, township bylaw officers were on full patrol responding to calls ranging from parking, noise and dogs.

All totalled, officers laid 82 charges for various parking offences and three others for allowing a dog on Balm Beach during the peak summer season. The contingent patrolled nearly 531 kilometres via bicycles and responded to 49 complaints.

Officers also laid a charge for failing to keep land clear of refuse under the “Clean Yards” bylaw and another for barbecuing on Balm Beach.

The township is also reminding residents to heed the Interim Control By-law 23-044, which as amended prohibits the erection of any structure, fence  or sign.

This includes, but is not limited to, boathouses,  retaining walls, patios, landscaping, decks, fences, walls, or shoreline alteration that are in proximity to the 178-metre contour elevation of the Georgian Bay Shoreline. Click here for more information.

Anyone witnessing a violation of the bylaw, can file a complaint by calling the Municipal Law Enforcement Department at 705-526-4204.

Residents and visitors are also reminded that personal items/private property cannot be left  unattended or on municipally owned property overnight. Examples of personal items include, but are not limited to: chairs, tables, watercraft, boats, fire pits, umbrellas and tents along with docks, decks and platforms.
