Overnight fire requires 'full response' from emergency services

A six-plex residence on William Street was full engulfed around 4:30 a.m. today

An early morning fire in the Town of Midland prompted a full response from the Midland Fire Service along with members Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment.

OPP officers and fire attended one of the six-plex residences located at 778 William Street after fire services were notified of a fully engulfed fire at 4:33 a.m. Sept. 28.

One man was triaged at the scene and transported by County of Simcoe Paramedics to an area hospital with minor injuries. Traffic in the area was redirected during the early hours of extinguishing the fire and roads have since been re-opened.

Officers remain on scene while fire officials continue to investigate into the cause of the fire.
