Calling all ghosts, goblins and other treat-or-treaters.

Downtown Midland hosts its annual street party Saturday with parents and grandparents invited to share the magic of Halloween with their little ones

"Dress up your little goblins, ghouls and superheroes—whatever their costumes, we can’t wait to see all the creativity," Downtown Midland notes, adding that free street parking means everyone can easily join in on the fun and grab some candy from participating stores.

Those bringing a non-perishable food donation to support the local food bank will receive a free family photo and safety goodie bag courtesy of the local OPP community service officer. Photos will be taken in front of the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce building.

Penetanguishene Centennial Museum hosts a Halloween Spooktacular Saturday morning. Preregistration is required and the event runs from 10 a.m. to noon. It costs $6 for children with adults admitted free.

On Sunday from 10 a.. To 2 p.m., the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre hosts a Halloween event with free entry for costumed folk of all ages.

“Calling all ghosts, goblins, fairies, and creatures of the night,” the marsh noted. “Put on your Halloween finery. Teleport to Wye Marsh. Explore the trails.”

Participants can collect stamps in their Halloween passports with first 50 receiving a sweet treat back at the visitors’ centre.
