With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Carmel Cox age 92 on Saturday March 22nd, 2024 in the comfort of her home.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband Harry Cox. Loving mother to Linda (Steve) Vincent, Claire (Eric) Bentzen-Bilkvist, Paul Cox (Diane Riel), Patti (Allen) Pumputis and Jill Latondress. Cherished by her 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Bernadette Upperton, Sheila Smith, Christopher (Julie) Rice and Niall Rice. Carmel is predeceased by her parents Abraham and Margaret Rice and her sisters Josephine Cooper, Eileen Cooper and Marie Fischer. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially Chris Bayley, and her extended family and friends.
Carmel was an active church member and actively involved with the CWL and St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was an avid reader and always asking for book recommendations. She listened to the CBC and read the daily newspaper, always up to date on the latest world news.
If desired, donations in memory of Carmel may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
