With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Albert “Bert” John Dorion on Wednesday February 19th, 2025 at the age of 91. Beloved Husband of the late Grace Dorion. Loving Dad to Rick (Sharon) Dorion, Sherryl (the late Ron) MacLennan, Brian (Wendy) Dorion, Liz (the late Dave) Stephenson and Allison (John) Augimeri. Cherished Grandpa to Lee-anne, Angela, Markus, Chris, Stephen, Kim, Matthew, Joshua, Jacob and to his 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Theresa Hunwick. Bert is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Alexina and his many siblings. He will be fondly missed by all extended family and friends.
Bert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandpa, brother and friend. He was a thoughtful, kind hearted generous person that always put others before himself. Bert was a master craftsman and could build and repair anything. He built many doll houses, rocking horses and toys with loving care and detail for his grandchildren. Bert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a pillar of strength in the community. He is at peace now and reunited with “Gracie” the love of his life.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Nicholls Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday March 6th, 2025 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church starting at 2 o’clock. Reception to follow. Private family interment will take place in the spring.
