Ted Gerow, son of the late Ferne (nee McCullough) and Dan Gerow passed away on Saturday February 14th in his 94th year of life. Brothers Jack, Bill and Doug predeceased him.
Ted’s early years were spent in Midland. Following high school, he attended Ryerson Institute, graduating from the business course.
After working in Toronto for a number of years, Ted and Doug Gerow opened and operated Gerow’s Flower shop in Midland for 45 years. As a Midland Downtown businessman, he was a friend to so many. Ted and his wife Carole taught English in Xiamen China for several years. Ted enjoyed this new experience and was equally loved by his new friends and students. In the last few years special care has been provided for Ted by the excellent staff at the Villa and we thank them for that.
As per Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
His family, wife Carole, Daughter Lori Gerow (Chip Pearce), son Paul Gerow (Kathy Watson) and grandchildren Reid, Allie and Boyd Gerow celebrate a life so well lived.
