April 2, 1931 ~ November 7, 2021 (age 90)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Hospice Huronia, Tomkins House on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 90 after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Beloved husband of Leona (nee Lalonde). Father of John, Peter (Mary Anne), Dan (Rose), Jeff (Kathi), and Rob (Adrienne). Poppa of P.J, Dylan, Samantha, Tristan, Chloe, Kayla, Jenna, Zachary, Aiden and Ruby. Great grandchildren; Atticus and Aurora. Predeceased by parents Willard and Marie LeClair, brothers; Bill (survived by Rita), Pat (the late Jackie), Don (survived by Vivette) and sister Anita Robert (the late Pat). Survived by sister Betty Chapman. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the Bayshore Health Care, especially his nurse John Reid for his kind care, Palliative Care physician Dr. Julie Caron, and Hospice Huronia for the excellent care and wonderful hospitality they provided.
Memorial donations to Hospice Huronia-Tomkins House would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Parish, Penetanguishene on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 13th from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Penetang Legion. Masks and proof of vaccination required.
