It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Brian R. Tatham, a dedicated father, husband, brother, grandfather, and esteemed otolaryngologist (ENT surgeon). He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2024. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joanne, predeceased by his daughter, Dr. Barbara Tatham, and is survived by his cherished daughters Dr. Erica (Bryan), Deanna (Josh), and Laura (Jessi). Dr. Tatham was also a proud grandfather to Dash, Chase, Austin, and Tate, who brought him great joy.
For over 30 years, Dr. Tatham was a skilled and compassionate surgeon at Scarborough General Hospital and served as the co-chief of surgery, where he was highly respected by his colleagues and patients alike. Beyond his medical career, he found great fulfillment in his family and passions outside of medicine. Dr. Tatham loved to travel and explore the world, he enjoyed home-cooked meals, loud action-pack movies, and spending countless hours at his favorite place in the world—his cottage—where he created lasting memories with the people he loved.
Dr. Tatham’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
Bye for now.
