Irene Anna Zinnicken of Midland Ontario passed away on September 28th, 2024 in her home. Irene is survived by her three children, Heidi, Harry, Ramona as well as her partner Wolfgang Voegele.
Irene emigrated to Toronto, Canada in the 60s with her three children where she lived her entire life until her death in Midland Ontario this past September 2024.
Irene was a beloved mother to all three of her children, she was Omi to Adam, Madelyne, Zachary, Beckett and Emerson, her beloved grandchildren. Equally blessed to have known her, is great grandson Kane who was also with her before she passed.
Irene was the best mother, she was a devoted wife to Wolfgang, a homemaker who loved to garden and bake and be with her family, she was filled with warm light, laughter and hugs for everyone she knew.
Irene was born and raised outside of Koln, Germany in the small farming village of Gymnich. She is one of six sisters and the daughter of Maria and Johanne Zinnicken also deceased and from Gymnich, Germany.
Born near the end of World War ll, Irene was named for “peace” and that is what she was.
Peace and love is Irena Anna’s legacy, we will all miss her a great deal.
