Passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Village Care Centre in Midland on March 7th, 2025 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Josephine Zandbelt (predeceased). Loving father of Ben (Helen) Zandbelt, Brenda (Mike) Bianco and Brian (Joey) Zandbelt. Cherished grandfather (Opa) of Stephanie, Christine, Zach, A.J., Victoria, Alex and Lily. Fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
Bernard was a hardworking farmer for many years near Port McNicoll. He loved to sing and would brighten everyone’s day with a ready smile. He has spent the past ten years at Hillcrest where he was well taken care of by their fantastic staff.
Bernard had an immense extended family that spans from B.C., Alberta, Ontario and the Netherlands. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
