Pair found shot to death near Georgina park

York Regional Police have confirmed two adults were located with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead in Georgina today. 

The incident is isolated, police say.

Some schools in Georgina have been placed in a hold-and-secure after gunshots were fired in a nearby park Wednesday morning.

There is a heavy police presence in the area of Bayview Park, at 106 Bayview Ave., in Keswick after shots were heard at about 7:28 a.m., York Regional Police Const. Kevin Nebrija said.

Police have set up a perimeter at Dovedale Drive to the south, Bayview Avenue and the Queensway to the northwest and Fairwood Drive to the east.  

During a hold-and-secure at a school, all exterior doors are locked and access and exit from the school are controlled. Regular activities in the school continue.
