Police release suspect photos in thefts at Midland hotel

Police say employee was distracted before thief removed a large set of keys belonging to the Quality Inn on King Street

Police say property was stolen from a Midland motel on Saturday and have released photos of a suspect.

The Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment say they received a complaint of a theft of motel property on Oct. 19 at around 1:45 a.m.

A staff member was distracted when an unknown individual removed a large set of keys belonging to the Quality Inn on King Street, police say.

Investigators are being assisted by video surveillance at the inn and the community is asked to have a look at photographs to see if the suspect can be identified and the stolen property returned.
