A Port McNicoll woman was charged Tuesday at a police RIDE check in Midland.
Shortly after 2 a.m., the woman was stopped at a RIDE check on Highway 12, near Wye Valley Road. Police determined she was impaired. They also seized cocaine from the vehicle, Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
Christine Calvert, 53, has been charged with operation while impaired (drug) and possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine). She was released from custody with a Sept. 24 court date. She was handed a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
