A man is facing numerous charges after police say he stole from Walmart in Midland.
Store security contacted Southern Georgian Bay OPP to report a shoplifter shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Officers found the suspect, who fled on foot, police said. He was located and arrested.
Cody Blain, 30, of no fixed address, Midland, has been charged with theft under $5,000 (shoplifting), possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, resisting a peace officer, failure to comply with a release order (other than to attend court), transportation fraud, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
He was held for a bail hearing.
