Woman walks into OPP station, gets arrested for impaired

An Armour Township woman was arrested for being impaired, after turning herself in to Almaguin OPP on a different matter.

On May 29, at 9:15 pm, the driver turned herself in to officers at the detachment. "While speaking to the driver in relation to the original investigation, officers noted signs of impairment," says PC Brett McCulloch.

A 40-year-old female is charged with "Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)" and "Operation while impaired - alcohol."

Police did not name the accused who is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge at a later date.
