Age 74, died peacefully of cancer on August 28th, 2024 with his loving wife by his side at GBGH in Midland, Ontario.
He is survived by his wife Germaine Lesperance of Perkinsfield; his beloved dog Lainey, his sons John “Sonny” (Jennifer) of Meridian, ID USA, Trevor (Tanya) of Victoria Harbour, Josh (Gilda) of Kincardine and Lance (Jenna) of Barrie. He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, Jacob, Jenelle (Andreas), Ellyauna, Poppy, Sadie and Daxton. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Dianna Williams (Denis), sister-in-law Mary-Jo, step siblings Joyce and Pat. His adoptive family the late Malte and Beverley Stahlbrand, the late Peter (Elizabeth), Rodney (Beth), Erik (Colleen) and Marie Desrochers (the late Larry). Brother-in-law to Rose Lesperance (Gerry Arbour), Janet Dzoch (Steve), Claudette Schacherl (the late Jeff), Eric Lesperance (Louise), Lucille Smith (James), Martin Lesperance (Brenda), his many nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews, uncles and aunts. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph Dallaire & Cecilia Bendig of Windsor, ON; his brother Joseph and step-siblings Tommy, Joe & Mary Ann and his father and mother-in-law, Lionel and Marie Lesperance.
John was born on August 27th, 1950 in Windsor, ON.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and uncle.
John was a social man who enjoyed family and friends. He loved fishing until the very end and was passionate about hunting, golfing and flying his hobby planes when able back in the day. His family and friends will always remember him as a free spirit, the warmest, kindest and most welcoming person who always had a good story to tell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
