12-Jul-1999 - 31-Aug-2024

Our hearts are shattered as we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Tori George Geroux, taken from us far too soon on August 31, 2024 at the age of 25.  The depth of our grief is immeasurable as we struggle to comprehend a world without her bright and loving presence.

Tori was born on July 12, 1999, in Barrie, Ontario, to Patricia Ruth Archer and Steven Geroux. From a young age, Tori was a force of nature – full of energy, kindness and love.  These qualities grew with her, shaping her into the remarkable woman who brought light into every life she touched.

Her greatest pride and joy in life were her two beautiful daughters, Harleigh, 4, and Oakland, 2. As a mother, Tori’s love for her girls knew no bounds – she was nurturing, playful, and fiercely protective, creating a world filled with warmth and joy for them.  Her daughters have lost the light of their lives, and her family will forever feel the aching void left by her absence.

Tori graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education and turned her passion for caring for children into a fulfilling career. She founded Little Sunflowers Childcare, where she poured her heart into each child under her care, nurturing them with the same love and compassion she showed her own children.

Her passing has left an unfillable gap in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Friends and family remember Tori as an energetic, fun-loving, and compassionate soul.  Her laughter was infectious, and her presence lit up every room.  Whether she was spending time with her family, caring for her children, or simply sharing a smile, she gave her whole heart to everything and everyone around her.  Her family, especially her mother Patricia, father Steven, brothers Ayden Burnett and Matthew Archer, stepbrother Ryan Shaunessy, and stepsister Shayla Geroux, will forever cherish the countless memories she leaves behind.

Tori’s life was filled with so much promise, a future brimming with dreams yet to be realized, milestones never to be reached. The heartbreak of losing her is beyond words, but we take comfort in knowing that her memory lives on in the hearts of her children and all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date, and all who knew Tori are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating her extraordinary life.

There is an appointed time for everything,... a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to wail and a time to dance.
