It is with a blessing of a life long lived, we are saddened to lose an independent, strong and loving mother of our family. Marion passed away at Hillcrest Village Care Center on Sunday, September 15th. Loving daughter of John and Ruth Miller (deceased). She married Hugh Robertshaw (deceased) becoming widowed in her twenties with two young daughters. As time passed she married her loving and devoted partner, Frank Stacey (deceased). She leaves behind her daughters Carole Bell (late Jim) and Peggy Dundas (Reg) and predeceased by son David Stacey and infant son. Mom’s life span included time to enjoy five generations of 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

Born in Midland and later moved to Waverley where mom and dad farmed and raised their family. Marion and Frank were members of the Waverley United Church and enjoyed the friendship of the members and community. Returning to Midland, they involved themselves with the Midland Civitan Club and time spent travelling. As time went on they build a home in Midland Bay Woods, enjoying the sunsets and boating.

During her retirement years she met and enjoyed the companionship for 38 years of Robert (Bob) Harris (deceased). They filled their time enjoying dinners and card games with family and friends, camping, canoeing and biking. She loved her time curling, golfing lawn bowling, and main stream square dancing.

We sincerely thank the staff at Hillcrest Village Care Center and Georgian Suites for their compassion, care and love given to mom during her stay with them. Arrangements entrusted to Nicholls Funeral Home. Friends will be received on Saturday September 21st at 12 noon. A chapel service will begin at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow at her daughter’s residence, 834 Hugel Ave., Midland. A private graveside service will take place at a later time.
