Tow truck driver hit, police searching for fleeing vehicle

Police are looking for a vehicle in connection with a fail-to-remain investigation in Springwater Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police's Huronia detachment is looking for public help in connection with a fail-to-remain accident.

Around 10 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the incident, which took place on Flos 7 East of County Road 27 in Springwater Township.

Police say that a tow truck was recovering a vehicle from the roadway when a late model Ford Bronco with distinct oversized white rims, tires, white wheel well extensions, and a black soft top passed the tow truck unsafely and struck the tow truck operator.

The tow truck driver was not injured, but the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
